63rd New York Film Festival Announces Main Slate

The 63rd New York Film Festival Main Slate has been announced. The festival is set to take place September 26 - October 13, 2025.

The festival has taken place since 1963 and played a pivotal role in film's culture. Films from 26 countries are in this year's schedule.

NYFF 63 films are being screened in Lincoln Center and at four venues across the city: Aloma Drafthouse Cinema (Staten Island), AMC Bay Plaza Cinema (Bronx) BAM (Brooklyn Academy of Music - Brooklyn) and the Museum of Moving Image (Queens).

The big titles announced are:

Opening Night: After the Hunt (Luca Guadagnino)
A college professor finds herself at a personal and professional crossroad when a star student levels an accusation against one of her colleagues, threatening to expose a dark secret from her own past. Stars Julia Roberts, Ayo Edebiri, Andrew Garfield, Michael Stuhlbarg, and Chloƫ Sevigny.

Centerpiece: Father Mother Sister Brother (Jim Jarmusch)
Estranged siblings reunite after years apart, forced to confront unresolved tensions and reevaluate their strained relationships with their emotionally distant parents. Stars Cate Blanchett, Adam Driver, Vicky Krieps, Mayim Bialik, Indya Moore, and Tom Waits.

Closing Night: Is This Thing On? (Bradley Cooper)
As their marriage unravels, Alex faces middle age and divorce, seeking new purpose in the New York comedy scene while wife Tess confronts the sacrifices she made for their family-forcing them to navigate co-parenting and identity. Stars Will Arnett, Laura Dern, Bradley Cooper, Andra Day, and Sean Hayes.
