11th New York Television Festival October 19-24

(released 10/5/2015)

The New York Television Festival will happen October 19-24, 2015. The annual event, now in year eleven, will bring you directly in contact with the current trend in television. Original content creators to present productions living on networks, the attendees, and artists interact and develop new narratives. The festival is not for the sideliners.

"Attend as many panels as possible. Writing for TV is a specific art and I learned more of the tricks while attending panels. [The NYTVF] exposed me to development and the industry side of the business in a clear and comfortable way." Luke Cunningham, Head Monologue Writer – NBC's Late Night with Jimmy Fallon

The people involved in the festival take action and the content produced from the festival develops future television and webseries content. Some highlights of this year's festival include:

NBCUniversal Digital Enterprises will open the festival hosting a performance by Dan Harmon
WGN America's Manhattan with cast and producers in attendance
Creative Keynote panel producers from Louie, Madam Secretary, Power, and Veep
CNN Original Series panel with Morgan Spurlock and Lisa Ling
Schitt's Creek with Eugene Levy and Cathrine O'Hara
WGN America's Outsiders - Paul Giamatti new series

The week of festival events will be held at the HELEN MILLS Event Space & Theater (212.243.6200) 137-139 W 26th Street and the SVA Theater at 333 W 23rd Street, both in Manhattan. There are panels, screenings and parties to learn, create, and collaborate with like minded, driven talent.

"NYTVF is the best networking and showcase opportunity I have ever experienced as a filmmaker. Many fests promise meetings with production companies and networks - the difference is that NYTVF delivers and delivers in spades. NYTVF is single-handedly changing TV." Ramiro Castro, Jr. - NYTVF Artist 2013, Winner of Festival Development Deal with truTV
