"The BedStuy Film Festival was founded in 2017 by Nickie Robinson as a showcase for films that feature diverse narratives and perspectives. The organization not only highlights filmmakers of diverse backgrounds but its mission uplifts new voices and outlooks, with particular emphasis on local creatives from a myriad of cultural, gender, race and across generations."
