Moving Body Moving Image 2026 "brings together films exploring migration, displacement, identity, memory, heritage, belonging, and the immigrant experience."

On October 18, 2026 from 12pm-6pm, MBMI will be at Lincoln Center, followed by additional programming and installation at Barnard College's Movement Lab October 19-24.

The festival opens at the David Rubenstein Atrium and three blocks of shorts follow through the day. At 4:30pm, a live discussion moderated by Charlotte Brathwaite will take place. These are free to attend.

Also free with RSVP is programming October 19th-24th. A workshop with Jingqui Guan will be from noon to 2pm on the 19th. Look for installation films to screen October 19-23rd from 3-6pm. A reception with installation film makers will take place October 19th at 6pm. Jingqui Quan will have an installation and talk back on October 22nd at 6pm and from 10am-6pm. Finally on October 24th, installation films will screen.
