Animation Nights New York is a monthly curated event and annual festival that is free to attend. The screenings, of animations that come from around the world, are held on two nights at two locations to accommodate the number of people attending. The next set of screenings will be on Wednesday, April 11th at WeWork in Dumbo and Tuesday, April 17th at The Gutter in Williamsburg.
Since the event is popular and refreshments are often served, an RSVP is the best way to have a smooth entrance to the screenings. You can RSVP by going to the website www.animationnights.com and clicking on your preferred day/location and follow the instructions.
Last month, the screening held in DUMBO was a packed house and guests were encouraged to partake in a drawing contest as well as enjoy complimentary fresh tapped cold beer.
Both evenings start at 8p.m. and go for close to a two hour running time with a brief intermission between the first and second hour.
The evening closed with a Q & A session with the filmmakers that were present for the screening.
