Honorees Announced for 2018 Athena Film Festival

The Athena Film Festival will run February 22-25, 2018 at Barnard College in Manhattan. The festival is a project of the Athena Center for Leadership Studies at Barnard and Women and Hollywood, a publication giving voice to women in the entertainment industry. This year will mark the eighth annual event founded by The Artemis Rising Foundation and it's CEO Regina K. Scully.

Barbara Kopple is to receive the Laura Ziskin Lifetime Acheivement Award, Amma Asante to receive the Athena Award, and Bridget Everett is to receive the Inaugural Breakthrough Award at the 2018 festival.

The 2018 festival co-chairs are: Debra Martin Chase, Geralyn Dreyfous, Paul Feig, Sherry Lansing, Jon Levin, Dylan McDermott, Sheila Nevins, David Oyelowo, Gina Prince-Bythewood, Susan Rovner, Regina K. Scully, and Rachel Weisz.
