Brooklyn-made Wallabout opens Bushwick Film Fest

The Bushwick Film Festival, now in its 8th year, runs October 1-4, 2015.  The Opening Night Film is Wallabout, which was shot in Brooklyn.  Produced by the team of Eric McGinty and Anna Sang Park, combined they are Veronique Films, Wallabout was also written and directed by McGinty.  There is a red carpet reception at 6:30pm, the Wallabout screening at 8pm, and it is followed by a Q&A with McGinty.  The event takes place at Light Space Studios.  See below for the Wallabout trailer.

More than just film screenings, Bushwick Film Festival has parties, workshops, and panels as well.  

Amongst the party list, the Opening Night Party at Lot 45 is free for anyone that has purchased a ticket to any other event at the festival as long as you RSVP.  It runs from 10pm-2am with an open bar the first hour.

There are three workshops for learning opportunities.  They take place at Livestream Public at 195 Morgan Avenue.

Micro Budget Filmmaking: Permits, Rights & Releases - 10/2 from 5-6:30pm
Building an Interactive Narrative - 10/3 from 1-2:30pm
Introduction to Screenwriting for Short Films - 10/4 from 11:30am-1pm

Don't forget the panel discussions.  All of the panels also take place at Livestream Public.

Acting Indie - 10/2 from 6:45-8pm
Women in Film & TV - 10/3 from 2-3:30pm
Women in Technology - 10/3 from 3-4:30pm
American vs European Film Market - 10/4 from 1:15-2:45pm
