The Sparrow Film Project 12 submission deadline took place Sunday, April 19, 2015 at the Sparrow Tavern, Astoria Queens. The crowd ebb and flowed as the final three hours to midnight counted down. Filmmakers arrived to finalize their submission and celebrate the wrap.
Mike Free, producer on the Sparrow Film Project team, made special announcements at the stroke of midnight. This year, all submissions will be screened the weekend of June 6 & 7 at the Museum of Moving Image. The Gala will be held on June 11, 2015. A new record, 53 submissions made it to the final stage, review by the Sparrow Project team. Mike Free also noted that details are forthcoming about tickets, nominees, and the awards gala.
