Movies under the Stars season is here. From May through September, the Mayor's Office of Media and Entertainment in partnership with NYC Parks bring you outdoor movies for free at parks, playgrounds, bandshells and community lawns. The movies are new releases as well as classic films for all ages.

The events encourage you to pack a picnic, favorite movie snacks and bring a blanket or portable chair to make your experience your own. The movies do have chairs reserved for seniors and people with disabilities so that everyone can enjoy a good movie.

All five boroughs will have films at different dates and times so checking the schedule and making your plans is suggested. There are over 41 screening events planned from May 1, 2024 to September 6, 2024. You can find a full list of screenings here:  https://www.nycgovparks.org
