We ran across a Fox Film Corporation production on Sunday, January 17th on the Upper West Side. The No Parking film shoot signs were calling this "The Raven". The production is going by the title Only Murders in the Building, but it is still considered an untitled comedy on the Hulu website.
We spotted Martin Short in a purple scarf and long purple coat walking into a building on 86th Street. He, along with all the background actors, would wear a mask between takes and upon hearing Rolling!, pull off the mask and tuck it into a pocket. Short also wore an insulated jacket over the wardrobe coat between takes, which would be whisked away off-screen by an assistant.
There was a director's chair with the name Charles-Haden Savage and the only character listed on imdb as Charles is Steve Martin, so that may be his full character name.
Also cast in the series is Selena Gomez, Nathan Lane, and Amy Ryan. Steve Martin came up with the concept and co-wrote the series with John Hoffman.
