2nd Annual Astoria Film Festival is May 17 & 18

The Astoria Film Festival will be May 17 & 18, 2019 at the Kaufman Astoria Studios. The festival lineup is new, original short films under 25 minutes and web series in categories of Comedy, Drama, Documentary, and Experimental.

Opening night red carpet, screenings and director Q and A panels will be Friday, May 17 at the ZUKOR Theater. The evening schedule runs from 6-10 pm with an 8 pm snack break. On Saturday, May 18, there is a Children's Film Day in the morning. Afternoon panels on Saturday include filmmakers who are disabled, female, PoC, and LGBTQ according to a release by the festival. Saturday evening will wrap up the festival with screenings, panels with directors, an awards ceremony and after party.

The top award of the evening will be the Adolph Zukor - ZUKOR AWARD. Adolph started as an immigrant to NYC becoming a self taught fur trade merchant, a nickelodeon investor, and film business pioneer chairing Paramount in 1935.
