Japan Society is again hosting JAPAN CUTS powered by Canon, a showcase of the latest in Japanese Cinema. Award-winners, Indies, up-and-coming filmmakers, restorations, documentaries, short films, anime and more are in the 30 film line up this year.

Japan Cuts will present actress Suzu Hirose with the CUT ABOVE Award for Outstanding Achievement in Film. The festival will host the New York Premiere of A Pale View of Hills starring Hirose as the Centerpiece Film. The festival will conclude with an in-person appearance of Hirokazu Koreeda, the Director of the Closing film Sheep in the Box. This is the film's North American premiere.
