The Golden Globe Awards were held Sunday, January 11, 2026 live on CBS and Paramount+ from the Beverly Hilton Hotel. Nikki Glaser hosted the 83rd annual ceremony. Earlier in the week, Thursday evening the Golden Globes held Golden Eve to honor in a separate ceremony, actresses Helen Mirren and Sarah Jessica Parker. Mirren was receiving the Cecil B. DeMille Award and Parker was honored with the Carol Burnett Award.
"One Battle After Another" and "Hamnet" were the big winners at the 83rd Golden Globe Awards. "One Battle", a Warner Bros Discovery release, was leading going into the night with nine total nominations. The film won for best motion picture - musical or comedy, supporting actress for Teyana Taylor, and trophies for screenplay and director for filmmaker Paul Thomas Anderson.
"Hamnet" won best motion picture - drama award and female actor for the film's star Jessie Buckley.
HBO's medical drama "The Pitt", Apple TV+'s "The Studio" a showbiz satire and Netflix's psychological thriller series "Adolescence" saw several awards throughout the night. "Adolescence" has four total awards, "The Pitt" and "The Studio" took home best series prizes and an acting prize apiece for stars, Noah Wyle and Seth Rogen.
Ryan Coogler's vampire blues musical "Sinners" won best original score, cinematic and box office achievements. Netflix's streaming sensation "KPop Demon Hunters," the most-viewed film in the platform's history, won for animated motion picture and original song, for the breakout, now ubiquitous earworm "Golden." Neon's "The Secret Agent," a shaggy dog historical thriller set in the nooks and crannies of Brazil's mid-20th century dictatorship, also won two prizes: best non-English language motion picture and best actor in a motion picture – drama, for star Wagner Moura.
