Bob Feinberg has been appointed by the Board of Hamptons Film as the Executive Director. Feinberg will lead HamptonsFilm and the Hamptons International Film Fest. He will work to expand the organization's reach and continued success of the annual educational and industry community initiatives throughout the year.

Bob Feinberg is an experienced business development executive and lawyer whose career spans nearly Forty years, the last twenty spent in nonprofit media and education. A founder, ideator, senior media executive and people manager, Bob's work has included film, television, digital media, and education.
From 2008 through 2025, Bob held a series of senior positions at WNET, New York City's PBS station and major producer of content for the public television system. As Vice President, Business Development and Chief Legal Officer at WNET, Bob was responsible for exploring new opportunities for distribution, acquisitions, and partnerships, and overseeing staff covering business development, legal affairs, government and external affairs, labor relations, talent relations, and the organization's board of trustees.
In 2010, Bob conceived and founded Montclair Film, a year-round film and education nonprofit based in Montclair, New Jersey, whose annual Montclair Film Festival – now in its fourteenth year – has been lauded by MovieMaker, Variety, The Hollywood Reporter, Deadline, and TimeOut among others. As Chairman of the Montclair Film board for over twelve years, Bob had direct oversight of all aspects of the organization, including recruiting the organization's board of trustees and senior staff; the development of its education program; the acquisition (through donation) of its historic, three-story headquarters building, and the re-launch of The Claridge Theater, a 6-screen cinema in downtown Montclair as a nonprofit theater. Chairman Emeritus since 2022, Bob continues to advise Montclair Film and also serves on the boards of the nonprofit Public Media Venture Group and Talking Eyes Media.
Prior to joining WNET, Bob was general counsel and deputy general counsel at a number of media companies, including American Lawyer Media. Previously, he served as an Assistant U.S. Attorney in the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Eastern District of New York. Earlier, he was an associate at Debevoise & Plimpton LLP and a law clerk to the Honorable Magistrate Judge Naomi Buchwald, U. S. District Court for The Southern District of New York. For more than 20 years, he was an adjunct professor at Fordham University Law School, where he taught media law, criminal law and legal writing. Bob earned his J.D. from NYU School of Law and his A.B., Phi Beta Kappa, from Cornell University.
Bob and his wife Maggie Drucker live in East Hampton, where they have owned a home for the past thirty years.
HamptonsFilm will host the 34th annual Hamptons International Film Festival October 2-12, 2026, with screenings and events across the East End.
