Only Murders Back Filming on the UWS

(released 4/27/2024)

Only Murders in the Building was filming on the Upper West Side on Wednesday, April 24th, 2024. Several sets were used on the all day shoot starting inside the now infamous Belnord building, another set on Amsterdam Avenue between 85th and 86th, and finally several scenes on the street in front of the infamous building on 86th.

GreenRoomNewYork was able to capture some of the outdoor scenes as the crew and stars produced the award winning show. On Amsterdam, the scene called for the show's stars Martin Short, Selena Gomez, and Steve Martin along with Michael Cyril Creighton in takes running into a cab on the curb and then being wisked away in their adventure. When the scene was concluded, the crew called it a wrap for Actor Michael Cyril Creighton for the season.

GreenRoomNewYork was also able to capture actor Richard Kind in his scene on the sidewalk in front of the Belnord: The Belnord is the real-life Arconia where Only Murders in the Building is filmed located at 225 West 86th Street in Manhattan. This building is a 1908 pre-war residence. Richard Kind's scene called for him to walk the sidewalk to approach the doorman located in front of the building's iron gated entrance with his inquiry.

Only Murders in the Building is a HULU hit. Currently shooting season four, the show is from the minds of Steve Martin, Dan Fogelman and John Hoffman. The comedic murder-mystery series shares an obsession for true crime. Steve Martin (Charles), Martin Short (Oliver), and Selena Gomez (Mabel) share the obsession and then find themselves wrapped up in a murder mystery.  Charles, Oliver and Mabel decipher the killer maybe living among them and race to find the truth.
