Reel to Read Movies is a series presented in-person at the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Library. Registration is required for this free screening. On Saturday, July 11, 2026 from 2-4pm, join fellow readers and film goers in a screening of 1776, a 1972 film by director Peter H. Hunt.

1776 is an adaptation of the Tony Award winning musical celebrating the founding fathers' midwifery of the Declaration of Independence, the document that would give birth to a nation.
