Zach Woods, known for The Office and Silicon Valley as an actor, had his feature directorial debut at the Tribeca Festival on June 4, 2026. The film is called The Accompanist.
When 9-year-old Emily is removed from the care of her aging grandfather by a rookie child-welfare agent, she is placed with the witchy, funny, and unpredictable Sylvia. As the two build a surprising bond, they find that forging a new family is not without risk.
Everly Carganilla plays Emily. Susan Sarandon plays the caretaker. Aubrey Plaza is the social worker. All three were at the premiere on Thursday at SVA Theatre.
Others in attendance on the red carpet were Emma Farnell-Watson, John Rothman, Olivia Edward, Kevyn Morrow, Johnny Zito, June Hilgers along with Co-Writer Brandon Gardner, and Producer Michael Sagol.
The Accompanist also screened on Friday, sold out show today Sunday, and has tickets available (as of today) for Friday, June 12th.
