Film and Talk About Suzanne Farrell at NYPL
(released Monday, November 3, 2025)
By Kimberly Burke

One of the benefits of film is the mediums' ability to educate and present artistic endeavors. For example, if you wanted to learn the art of a ballerina, film footage could transport you to performances.

On November 14th, Alastair Macaulay: Suzanne Farrell and Farrellism will be presented at the New York Public Library for the Performing Arts. This free evening of film footage will be a selection of ballerina Suzanne Farrell in George Balanchie's choreography, showing her versatility and unpredictability. Dance critic Alastair Macaulay will present this footage and be joined by The Wall Street Journal's dance critic Robert Greskovic.

Seating for this evening event being held at 7:00PM will be for registered guests 15-30 minutes before start time and then stand-by line guests five minutes before show time for any remaining available seats. The evening is expected to conclude at 8:30PM. The library is located at 111 Amsterdam Avenue, between 64th and 65th Street.
