The Met's 16th Summer HD Festival is ten performances from the Live in HD series of cinema transmissions. It will include a special screening of the Oscar-nominated biopic MAESTRO, co-presented by Film at Lincoln Center and Netflix. The Maestro screening is Friday, August 22 at 8pm.
Maestro is a love story that chronicles the lifelong relationship of conductor-composer Leonard Bernstein and actress Felicia Montealogre Cohn Bernstein.
Maestro was shot in New York in 2022.
No advanced tickets or reservations are required and approximately 2,500 seats in front of the opera will be available August 22 - September 1 for the free screenings. The festival presentations will be in full open captions.
