NYPL Career Services Adult Career Talk: Get Animated will be online Saturday, June 4 from 12pm-1pm. Registration is required for this free career talk about leveraging your design skills to a career. Panelists with extensive art and design skills, who have success as animators, freelancers, illustrators and entrepreneurs will be in the conversation. The plan is to discuss common technology and turning a print or painting into digital artwork. You will be able to ask questions and connect with panelists to achieve your goals.
Panelists include: Pilar Newton (Cartoon Network) who now has her own animation company Pilartoons, LLC based in Brooklyn, J.B. Kinard also based in Brooklyn and does 2D/3D animations, motion graphics and VFX, and Rekha Krishnamurthi a printmaker, illustrator and surface designer.
