On the heels of the New York Asian Film Festival and Japan Cuts: Festival of New Japanese Films comes the 31st Asian American International Film Festival. This festival has premiered the works of directors such as Ang Lee and Chan-wook Park. Ang Lee known for films such as Brokeback Mountain, Hulk, and Pride and Prejudice and Park known for works like Oldboy and The Humanist.

In addition to the screenings, the Festival also features panel discussions, Q&A sessions, workshops, awards, and a screenplay reading. The festival runs July 10 through July 19, 2008.

Toyota Matrix will be involved with several events throughout the week-long festival, including providing a shuttle service that will transport guests from the screenings to the after-parties. Prior to the festival, Toyota Matrix will also sponsor an online scavenger hunt where festival fans can search for clues and submit their findings to the AAIFF website. The answers for the scavenger hunt will be on Matrix's very own Asian American cinema site, www.thedirectorschairsite.com.
