IndieWorks Has a New Home at Sanger Hall

(released 9/2/2019)

The IndieWorks crew has moved venues.  Its first 3 years were at The People Lounge on the Lower East Side and then the past 3 years at The Local in Long Island City.  In July, they tested Nuyorican Poets Cafe in the East Village.  In August, they tried Sanger Hall in Sunnyside and made the decision to call it their new home.

Speaking of their new home, the next IndieWorks screening will be Tuesday, September 17th.  Sanger Hall is located at 48-20 Skillman Avenue, Long Island City.  They will have food and drinks available.  The doors open for the event open at 6:30pm and films begin screening at 7:30pm.  The film selections haven't been released yet, but the format will be the same:  a set of short films followed by a Q&A and repeat.  Every screening also gives out 2 awards.  One is based on audience vote and the other is voted upon by the CongestedCat team. Entry as always is free.
