2nd Annual Kew Gardens Festival of Cinema

Kew Gardens Festival of Cinema is August 3rd-12th and the lineup includes over 110 films. Narrative features, short films, web series, experimentals, music videos and animation are programmed in this, the 2nd annual KGFC.  Opening the festival at the Regal Midway 9 Theaters on August 3rd is director Ari Gold's New York premiere of The Song of Sway Lake starring Rory Culkin. Closing the festival on August 12th is a return to the Terrace on the Park in Flushing Meadows - Corona Park for the Awards Dinner Gala.

Ticket holders at the festival are also welcome to take in the Queens Museum. They are offering a day programmed with web series, special presentations by invited filmmakers, and a SAG-AFTRA workshop. The workshop is to give independent filmmakers insight into the contracts available for them.

The Queens Museum will also hold it's Passport Thursdays Outdoor Screening Series on August 9th with a festival selected film. Pre-movie is a Bollywood style dance course from 7:00 pm - 7:45 pm.  Then you're invited to get cozy on the picnic blankets and enjoy the 8:00 pm feature film.
