4th Chain Film Festival Runs Today thru 14th

(released 8/8/2016)

The 4th annual Chain Film Festival starts today and runs through Sunday, August 14 at the 4th Street Theatre.

Opening the festival, a film block called Coming to America will tell immigrant stories from the eyes of Mexicans and Italians.  Bailar Amor by Corin Michalski and Waiting by Cristian Piazza are part of this film block and they both take place in the big city.  Also tonight is the block Web Series 1 with local works Katy in the Bush by Evan Kaufman and Single Rules by Matthew Mahoney.

There is plenty of other local fare during the festival and they even have a film block named as such.  New York Stories screens on Friday, August 12 and is completely comprised of big city tales.  Check out the documentary NYChapters and see 5 different stories from all 5 boroughs.

Closing out the festival is An Evening with Richard Price.  This will include a 30th anniversary screening of The Color of Money and a talkback with screenwriter Richard Price.

The festival takes place at 83 East 4th Street (between Bowery and 2nd Ave) in the East Village.
