AbelCine Documentary Grant Helps Tell Your Story

(released 8/23/2013)

The 2013 AbelCine Grant will help you tell your story. Create a 2-5 minute video pitch that can be uploaded to Vimeo following the published guidelines. All entries must be submitted by August 27, 2013 using the specified online form available at the AbelCine website.

Once the submission deadline is closed, the panel of judges along with the number of likes by fellow film enthusiasts will determine the 10 finalists who will be selected. These 10 finalists will be narrowed down to three final grant winners. Three packages are to be awarded that will equal the value of $100,000.00 worth in resources to film makers.

On October 22, 2013, the three finalists will be notified. According to AbelCine, winners will receive the following:

  • An equipment grant consisting of a credit for $33,000 to be used towards their choice of a Canon 300 rental package + lenses. Winners may choose one of three base C300 packages and work with AbelCine rentals to complete the package with accessories that fit their needs.
  • Access to the Endcrawl cloud-based credits service with an "Unlimited DPX" tier, which includes unlimited 2K or HD DPX renders and unlimited 1K H.264 renders. Please note: "unlimited renders" applies on a per project (not per user) basis."
