Inwood Film Festival Shows Off Resident Work

(released 5/16/2023)

The INWOOD FILM FESTIVAL is set to return May 25th to 28th. This will be the 6th Inwood Film Festival. The festival will be held in person and has added a new category for Web Series.

The Inwood Film Festival celebrates and showcases the Inwood community. Through moving image, the independent films are made in the neighborhood or by Inwood-based filmmakers. The 2023 festival will feature 27 films in eight screenings over three days. Also look for special events, seminars and discussions with filmmakers on the schedule.

The Opening Night Benefit for the 2023 Inwood Film Festival includes a special feature presentation of the award winning film, The Whale, with post screening conversation with Inwood-based screenwriter Samuel D. Hunter by Inwood Art Works Founder and Executive Producer, Aaron Simms.

Before and after the festival screenings, ticket holders can mingle in The Red-Carpet Community Room, a hip hub to connect filmmakers and audiences that is for the exclusive use of all Inwood Film Festival ticketed patrons before and after each screening. Enjoy a glass of wine or a Dyckman Beer and come to connect with neighbors before the show, stay afterward to discuss the films, meet like-minded folk, and hob-nob with local movers 'n shakers.

IFF+, a special online extension of the film festival will be running from Sunday, May 28th through Sunday, June 4th and will include all the film festival programming.
