Al Pacino will be in conversation about his 40 year career arc with David Rubenstein. The evening is part of the 92NY150 People Who Inspire Us: A 150th Anniversary Series. This special series is conceived to feature exceptionally distinguished figures in American cultural life who have used their prominence in a meaningful way to better the world.

Pacino has remained a presence in American film and theater for over half a century. Known for playing Michael Corleone in The Godfather trilogy, Tony Montana in Scarface and Frank Serpico in Serpico. He won both an Academy Award and Golden Globe for playing Lt. Col Frank Slade in Scent of a Woman. Pacino is a two time Tony Award winner for his performances in Does a Tiger Wear a Necktie? and The Basic Training of Pavlo Hummel.  He has also received several Lifetime Achievement awards including one from the American Film Institute.

Look for him this fall on Broadway in the critically acclaimed Public Theatre production of Shakespeare's The Merchant of Venice at the Broadhurst Theatre.

Pacino will be in conversation with David Rubenstein Co-Founder and Co-Chairman of the Carlyle Group. Mr. Rubenstein is Chairman of the Boards of the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, the Council on Foreign Relations, the National Gallery of Art, the Economic Club of Washington, and the University of Chicago; a Fellow of the Harvard Corporation; a Trustee of the World Economic Forum; and a Director of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, among other board seats.

Mr. Rubenstein is an original signer of The Giving Pledge; the host of The David Rubenstein Show and Bloomberg Wealth with David Rubenstein; and the author of The American Story, How to Lead, The American Experiment, and How to Invest.
