DP Buddy Squires at Film Forum for ¡Viva Maestro!

Deadly protests in this native conductor's Venezula disrupt his international tours. ¡Viva Maestro! from acclaimed director Ted Braun follows Maestro Gustavo Dudamel's response to unexpected imposing obstacles and his vision to celebrate the power of art to renew and unite.

Distibuted by Greenwich Entertainment, the hour and thirty nine minute documentary will be at the Film Forum on Saturday, April 9 at 6:50p.m. The Director of Photography Buddy Squires ASC will be present for the screening Saturday.

Buddy Squires has DP credits on most of Ken Burns' major works for television including The Roosevelts, The Dust Bowl, Prohibition, Baseball, The National Parks: America's Best Idea, and The Civil War. His credits include Oscar nominated films, an Academy Award winner, twenty-two Emmy nominated productions, and ten Emmy awards winners. He personally has been nominated ten times and has one Emmy Award. Sundance, Telluride and Tribeca Film Festivals have all featured his work. Squires is a founding member of Florentine Films established in 1976.
