DOC NYC Back In-Person; Opens with Penny Lane

(released 11/8/2021)

DOC NYC will run in-person November 10-18 and continue online until November 28th. The opening night presentation will be Listening to Kenny G. Directed by Penny Lane, the film screening will be followed by a conversation on stage with Lane and the film's subject Kenny G. The film is an HBO Documentary release.

"We're thrilled to open DOC NYC's return as an in-person festival with Penny Lane's witty, innovative exploration of musical taste and artistry from one of the most creative voices in documentary film," said DOC NYC Artistic Director Thom Powers.

In-person screening throughout the festival will be held at IFC Center, SVA Theatre and Cinepolis Chelsea.  The festival's fun lineup of 120 documentary and 100 short films is available here: www.docnyc.net/program
