In a June 25 Letter from the Commissioner Anne del Castillo of NYC Mayor's Office of Media and Entertainment, "NYS DOH Interim Guidance for Media Production During the Covid-19 Public Health Emergency is now optional."

Governor Cuomo announced the end of the emergency as of June 24, 2021. Productions that want to continue following guidance can find the information archived on the State's NY Forward website.

The changes to State guidance means productions no longer are required to complete a business affirmation concerning compliance with Media Production Guidance or post a COVID-19 Safety Plan on-site.  In the coming days, the Mayor's Office of Media and Entertainment (MOME) will be updating the city's film permit page www1.nyc.gov to reflect the changes.
