Athena Film Fest - Grant Winning Script Reading

(released 5/9/2021)

WHAT THE EYES DON'T SEE was the 2020 Alfred P. Sloan Athena List Development grant-winning script at the Athena Film Festival 2020.  On Monday, May 24 at 7p.m., there will be a free virtual script reading and a live Q&A with screenwriter Cherien Dabis.

The script is a true story of Iraqi American pediatrician Dr. Mona Hanna-Attisha who blew the whistle on government officials for exposing tens of thousands of residents to disastrous levels of toxic lead in the drinking water in Flint, Michigan.
